Hello! So Wedding season is up and running – what better time to start some DIY projects!
While most weddings have your standard elements – ever thought about adding something a little more to make the guests (and the day) memorable?
In this post I will be discussing some elements from my own nuptials, as well as weddings I have attended.
Fun Food Items
We had a brunch wedding – but I had one condition… Waffle Station!
We had all these fun fruity, sweety and syrupy toppings – it was definitely my favourite element of the reception (I gotta love the food).
My parents had the other condition – a coffee station (with actual baristas!!!)
I am not a coffee person at all but I heard that this was such a hit (I mean – who really gets up before 09h00 on a Saturday morning right?)
You can probably tell I come from a foodie family.
Photos are always a fun way to capture memories… Why not make the experience a little exciting for the guests.
Think fun props, backdrop and just let the guests have a ball with it all!
Weddings are not only about the ceremony, food, reception and dancing… It is also about keeping the guests entertained and livening up the day with festivities.
Lawn games are perfect for summer and outdoorsy weddings.
It’s perfect as an ice-breaker and bringing two families together as one.
Not having a summer bash? Keep the fun at the tables with some camera based friendly competition.
Have the guests post using a wedding hashtag in order to keep the mementos.
A little wedding Ad-Lib is super fun for the guests and a wonderful keepsake for the bride and groom.
Any kind of fun elements you would add or have added to your special day?
